EGBERT SIGNS WITH SPORTS PRO SERVICES

DALLAS, TEXAS – February 5, 2006 - Sports Pro Services is pleased to announce that it will be representing RHP Jack Egbert, who was selected in the 13th round of the 2004 MLB Amateur Draft. Egbert spent his inaugural professional season pitching for Great Falls of the Pioneer League, and this past season culminated an impressive Championship winning season playing for Kannapolis of the South Atlantic League.

Egbert, from Rutherford, New Jersey, pitched collegiate ball at Rutgers University before being drafted by the Chicago White Sox after his junior season. In his first pro season, Egbert compiled a 4-1 won-loss record to go with a 3.38 ERA. He also allowed less than a hit per inning, and stuck-out 52 batters in just over 58 innings of work.

This past season, Egbert finished off an even more impressive campaign by winning the South Atlantic League Championship game for Kannapolis. During the season, he led the team in numerous pitching categories while going 10-5 with a 3.12 ERA. He led the teams in wins (10), ERA (3.12), Strikeouts (107), Innings Pitched (147), Complete Games (4) and Shutouts (3). For a second consecutive season, Egbert allowed less than a hit per inning. Egbert was also recently named by “Baseball America” as having the minors best “change up” within the White Sox organization.
