Jeff serves as Stone Carlie's Athlete/Entertainer Services Director. In this role, Jeff is responsible for the ongoing development and deployment of specialized services to meet the unique needs of these individuals. Jeff is the recognized Preferred Taxation Preparer for Members of the Professional Hockey Players Association (PHPA) and the Professional Lacrosse Players Association (PLPA). In addition to tax services, Jeff also assists athletes/entertainers organize their financial affairs, including accounting, budgeting, financial statement reporting, investment advisory services, and forecasting/ retirement planning. Jeff has been working closely with athletes and entertainers in this industry since the 1980s and receives ongoing specialized training in dealing with the unique issues these individuals face. |
Jeff is committed to ongoing education of athletes and entertainers as evidenced by his communications to Association members, writing periodic articles in magazines and newsletters, and speaking at Association annual meetings. Jeff has extensive experience in all areas of financial accounting and reporting, and regularly consults individuals and businesses on streamlining operations and implementing tax-savings strategies. Jeff's interest in sports extends into his personal life. He is the past President and Treasurer of the Rivermen Captain's Booster Club in Peoria while the team played in the International Hockey League and in the East Coast Hockey League. He is currently housing two players for the Springfield Junior Blues in the North American Hockey League (Junior A). In addition, Jeff has been a coach for youth hockey (Peoria and Springfield), Assistant Head Coach for Bradley University, and Sacred Heart Griffin High School Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach. Jeff graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1987 and hails from the St. Louis area with his wife Amy and their three kids, Adam, Lauren and Caitlin. Stone Carlie is a full service accounting and consulting firm, offering tax services, financial/investment advisory services, and estate planning services. |

Richard is a member of Stone Carlie & Company, LLC and a managing member of Stone Carlie Wealth Advisors, LLC. Prior to joining Stone Carlie, Richard was a partner with over 21 years experience at Ernst & Young. At E&Y, Richard served as the Director of the Personal Financial Counseling practice in the Midwest Area consisting of four area offices (St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City and Des Moines). He is responsible for overseeing all services provided to clients under Stone Carlie Wealth Advisors, including investment consulting, estate planning and income tax planning. He provides personal financial counseling for many high net worth individuals, corporate executives, and owners of closely held businesses and works with some of the wealthiest families in St. Louis. |
Richard is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) licensee and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA). He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint Louis University and received his JD from Saint Louis University School of Law (Cum Laude). Richard also holds his Series 65 and 63 with the NASD. |
